Father, thank you for choosing me, loving me, and giving me an eternal comfort through you today. Thank you for the good hope I have because of you. Thank you for declaring me righteous according to the finished work of your son Jesus, who you have promised will return soon to execute justice, vindicate the righteous, and make the world right. Even now, in the midst of sin, and sickness, and trials, and pain, may his return give me hope. May the promise of his return refresh me today, regardless of what the world tells me, and regardless of whatever pain may wash into my life. Help me to stand firm, and confidently rest, in HIS finished work, so that I may “obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Come quickly Lord Jesus!
How are you enjoying God’s word today? How are you encouraging and exhorting others to do the same?
